What are good nutrients to use for it?
Best adenium content on RUclips
Defóliate trident maples and Japanese maples in summer is good idea or bad idea?
Good idea, keep out of full sun when no leaves
Thanks man took onboard your defoliation tips
Did we ever get an update
menurut saya belum sesuai antara besar batang dengan tinggi pohon 🙏
I live in Kentucky and it has been to the 90's. I enjoy watching.
Awesome information!!
I reccomend using a grit based for the top since the parts exposed to air will rot quicker if they sre reburied. I do it too, but i add aquarium gravel (non porous, holds no water) to the top layer :)
The styling looks excellent. I would take the low branch off. The low branch is too far behind in its size to fit well. Without it, the tree would look very grand with the lowest branch way above the root flare like a massive old forest grown tree.
Perfect timing! I just got a small brush cherry from my local nursery.
Great job Jerome 👏 will look great in flower. Love the pot.
Great information
thank you!!
Great livestream. Which fertilizer would you use on a bald cypress, a "deciduous conifer"?
That’s a great question! On a bald cypress I would use the all purpose but on a larch for instance I would use organic
This was a great live, I had to pop out so missed the end, but I'll watch it again now.
I have been using Home Depot and places like that even HEB. I work with a wide variety of plants and trees. I also find a lot of damage or close to death that can easily be brought back. Many deals. I find myself working the deals and doing bonsai on the cheap. Even the soils and tools. I do have a few expensive trees but it’s much more fun and satisfying to do it this way. For me what stopped me for a long time was thinking I couldn’t afford to do it. Then I had an inspiration I could just do it with anything any tool almost any soil or no soil. Jut shale will work. The one thing I like about you and your wife or any that has your quality is you’re no trying to be a bonsai god. You are humble and down to earth. Don’t live to far from Huston maybe on a plant expedition I will run across you two.
Sir plant height kiya hai
Bald cypress is my next bonsai project.
i just realized that my cuttings come from thin cuttings and my growth is good but i don't have a nice thick trunk to work with
for the tree shown at about 4 minutes, just for example, would it be possible to string them together slowly and eventually fuse them?
just looked up a video, yup
Any updates on this project?
….. awesome video, thanks for sharing! When is a good time to collect and repot?
An OG Yellow Pot would be devine!!😂😊
Be more humble.
?
Care to elaborate?
Love this video. Approximately how long do you leave on the wires?
Best video! Thank you 🙏
Allowing a tree to get root bound in order to promote aerial roots is an amazing tip for ficus species. Thank you Jerome.
Im confused, if i use akadama for helping with draining , do i apply the soil on top of the akadama ? Then pot the bonsai ?
I love your channel it brought me into creating bonsai i have ohly 3 but i new
Wow the bloodwood and the jabuticaba looks amazing
Looking good brother Jerome! And great videography and music Mari!!!🥰🌱🌱
I grow them indoors all year around 👍
When is the best time to cut/repot/wire any bonsai
❤❤❤just got one. Thanks for sharing your story
Where'd you guys go???? I miss you guys!!
Do you have plans to show any of your trees in the fall?
Your ficus is looking good. Its aerial roots really thickened up quickly; now you have aerial trunks! Wow!!!! Nice trick with the mat. Thanks from Boston!
You Barbarian! Chopping those heavy roots made the caudex look smaller! I would have put it back in some fresh soil and let those roots thicken up even more and then dig it up again! The plant does not look like a bonsai, it looks like a contrived version of a bonsai! Not your finest hour!
Watching from India
Hello both of you
Watching from India
I love this lady so much. Her happiness is contagious. Her laugh is timeless and abundant. I have one of her beautiful trees, got it at a Sho Fu auction at a church in Sarasota. It's one of my favorites...huge with lots of deadwood. I think about Molly Madison every time I work on it. It's a blessing to have her presence in my garden. Jim Koeniger, Nokomis, Florida
Breaking limbs is the main method I use with my bonsai. I've had exactly one dogwood and I killed it after three months.
For trees in early development, what are your thoughts on replacing the clay with fox farm ocean forest soil. My theory is the extra organic material will help young trees grow faster. Also I travel sometimes an can’t always water every day. Finally I live in coastal Southern California so weather is generally mild to warm
Jerome … where can I purchase the limestone paste you speak of in your video … thank you in advance
Story sounds fake lol
So I always thought after repot and root trimming you have to wait to fertilize a few weeks to a month.. Do I have that wrong? Lol
Nope not wrong, that is what most Bonsai expert say. Although with solid fertiliser it takes a while to be processed into the nutrients that the plant can take up. Still, I would have said wait 2 or 3 weeks as well.
It is more of a refinement thing. When your tree is very refined, wait until the first flush has hardened and then fertilize. If you want lots of explosive growth you can fertilize right away. This tree has lots of growing to do so fertilizing right away it is 🙂

if i dont have limestone paste can i use Sulphur?
Once you cut the base, the very rooty bottom, can it also grow back?
Do you ever need to change pot for this forest? Can they always stay in same pot? Or when do you know it’s time to change to bigger pot? Thank you
